Privacy Policy

Nugget Fred does not collect, transmit, or share any information about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server.

What the app stores

Everything below lives in your device's local storage, inside the app. All of it together is a few kilobytes. None of it contains a name, an identifier, an advertising ID, a device ID, or anything else that could identify you or your phone — and none of it is ever sent anywhere.

• Your scores — your best, and for each day you played, how many runs you did and your best that day.
• Today's shift — which date the daily challenge you last played was for, your best on it, and how many days in a row you have played one.
• Your tips and your locker — how many tips you have earned and spent, which items you own, and which you are wearing.
• Records other than score — your longest streak and the furthest shift you have reached.
• Your settings — whether sound, music and vibration are on, the screen-effects level, the quality level, whether readability and aim assist are on, and whether you have seen the rules screen.
• The last thing Fred said, so he does not say it twice running.
• The shift log — a set of counters: how many times the game has been opened, how many runs you have played, how many nuggets you have thrown and landed, which shift your runs end on, and how often you have opened the locker, the rules or the pause screen. It is counters only, it is never sent anywhere, and you can read the whole thing yourself: tap the CHICKEN NUGGET FRED title five times.
• A frame-rate measurement, if you have ever run TEST MY PHONE in settings (or asked for one from that same log screen). It is a handful of numbers about how smoothly the game ran on your phone, the date it was taken, and the quality level it chose.

There is one screen that can send something, and only when you tap it: PHONE REPORT in settings puts the frame-rate measurement, your settings, your run counts, your phone's model and Android version, and its screen size into a block of text, shows you the whole thing, and then offers to hand it to your phone's share sheet or clipboard. It is assembled when you open the screen, it contains no identifier of any kind, and it goes nowhere unless you send it. Nothing else in the app transmits anything.

Apart from a report you choose to send, that data never leaves your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes it. Clearing the app's storage in Android Settings deletes it. There is no copy anywhere else, which also means there is no way for anyone — including me — to recover it for you.

What the app does not do

• No accounts, sign-in, email address, or password.
• No advertising, and no advertising SDKs are present in the app.
• No analytics service, crash reporting, or usage tracking. The shift log described above counts things, but it stays on your phone: there is no network call anywhere in the code that writes it, and nothing reads it except the screen that shows it to you.
• No in-app purchases or payments. Tips are earned by playing and cannot be bought.
• No access to your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone, or location.
• No data sold or shared with anyone, because none is collected.

Permissions

The app declares one Android permission, INTERNET. In this version the game never uses it — it runs entirely offline and makes no network requests at all, including for fonts, which are bundled into the app. The permission is declared because a future version will offer an optional online leaderboard. If you would rather not grant it, the game is fully playable with no connection.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13. It collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds an online leaderboard, advertising, or purchases, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the store listing's Data safety section will be updated with it. The version number at the top of this page tells you which release of the app the policy describes. If it does not match the version you have installed, the policy you are reading is not the one that covers your app — ask me and I will fix it.
