CODE PUP
Give Ranger his orders. Learn to code!
NEW Learn to code with Ranger: snap blocks together, run your program and find the bugs. 60 yards that teach loops and functions, plus a daily yard.
Ranger is hungry and the bones are hidden around the yard. Snap code blocks together (Forward, Left, Right) to make a program, tap Run, and watch Ranger follow it step by step. Bump into a hedge? That's a bug: the block that went wrong lights up red, and Step runs your program one block at a time so you can find it.
Sixty yards in six areas each teach one real coding idea: sequences, loops (Repeat), functions (Tricks), loops inside loops, and all of them together. Every yard has a goal of the fewest blocks we found, and hints show a way to every bone before giving any answers away. A new daily yard every day, with the trickiest ones at weekends. Made for curious kids and grown-ups alike.
How to play
- Tap blocks to make a program: Forward moves Ranger one square, Left and Right turn him where he stands.
- Tap Run and Ranger does your blocks in order. Pick up every bone to win.
- Repeat does the blocks inside it again and again. Use - and + to change how many times.
- A Trick is a little program with a name: build it on the Trick line, then use Trick blocks in your Program.
- Bonk? The red block is where Ranger bumped. Step runs one block at a time to find the bug.
- Paws: one for every bone, one for using the goal number of blocks or fewer, one for no hints. Finish 6 yards to open the next area.
Finger or mouse: tap blocks to add them, tap a block in your program to move the cursor after it. Keyboard: Up or F forward, Left/L and Right/R turn, P repeat, T trick, K switch between the Program and Trick lines, Backspace deletes, Enter or Space runs, S steps, Z undo, H hint, Esc pause.
